Undoubtedly one of the most significant games in the pantheon of first person shooters, DOOM has been ported from console to phone, and even fridges and calculators. DOOM Pluntonia, however offers a DOOM experience that is not for the faint hearted. All the playable levels are available in the highest difficulty mode only, and just one life. Combine that with the fact that there are no saves in DOOM Plutonia, and you have an extremely difficult gameplay experience for only the most hardened first person shooter aficionado. Now, granted, DOOM Plutonia doesn't really bring anything new to the table other than a locked in difficulty, but if you're looking for a challenge and you like classic first person shooter action, this may well be the game for you.

Challenging but Un-Original

The thrill of playing DOOM on a high difficulty, knowing that you only have one life, can be quite intoxicating. But it's a thrill that can be achieved with regular DOOM, and beyond that restriction, DOOM Plutonia doesn't really bring anything new to the DOOM table. If you've already got a DOOM game, this version won't add much to your experience.
